About The Position

The Inspector II is responsible for verifying vehicle identification, entering basic vehicle identification information into a database, inspecting vehicle equipment and options, and documenting the results. This role also involves assessing and entering any exterior vehicle damage, inspecting and entering the condition of the vehicle's interior, tires, frame, and mechanical components. The Inspector II will complete and verify data entry to support the documentation of vehicle condition, perform post-sale inspections (PSI) and enter results, and perform and document walk-around inspections for the online vehicle exchange (OVE) process. Additionally, the role includes reviewing completed vehicle condition reports with inspectors, confirming and providing advice, attending meetings to share and receive job-related information, and completing training requirements.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field.
  • OR any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline; OR 5 years’ experience in a related field
  • Safe driver's needed; valid driver's license required
  • Basic computer software skills.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Strong technical aptitude.
  • Familiarity with unibody and full-frame vehicles.
  • Good organizational skills needed.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Ability to multitask, follow directions and take instruction required
  • Must clear a pre-employment drug test (marijuana excluded for this position, but drug-free workplace policies apply).

Nice To Haves

  • Previous body shop experience, mechanical experience, estimating experience a plus, but not required.
  • Body, paint and mechanical repair knowledge preferred.
