About The Position

The Custodian II role is responsible for removing garbage and recyclable materials from office and plant areas as assigned, and transporting them to the designated trash compactor and recycling collection areas within the facility. This is a 2nd Shift position, Monday-Friday, from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm, with a starting pay of $16.50/HR + $1 shift differential = $17.50/HR.

Requirements

• Ability to perform hands-on tasks and follow instructions in mechanically oriented environments.
• General knowledge of equipment used in building maintenance.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proficient in using manual and power tools required for daily tasks.
• Must have full use of hands with the ability to bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs. frequently.
• Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift (100% of the time).
• Ability to work under pressure and move throughout all areas of the facility.
• Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying of materials and cleaning equipment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in carpentry, plumbing, or electrical repairs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Remove garbage and recyclable materials from office and plant areas as assigned, and transport them to the designated trash compactor and recycling collection areas within the facility.
• Clean assembly floors, pallets, warehouse areas, and remove trash.
• Sweep and mop floors on a daily basis.
• Sort and properly dispose of recyclables.
• Restock restrooms, kitchens, and breakrooms with necessary supplies and paper products.
• Perform additional cleaning and housekeeping tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
• Complete all work assignments safely and efficiently, following company safety procedures.
• Must be able to lift over 30 lbs. when required.
• Forklift and equipment training will be provided as needed.
