About The Position

Boyd Gaming Corporation is seeking a dedicated Custodian to join their facilities team in Kenner, United States. This role is responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming environments for employees and visitors through various cleaning and basic maintenance activities. The Custodian will perform regular cleaning duties, maintain inventory, report issues, and assist with event setups as needed, ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation standards.

Requirements

Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds throughout the shift
Knowledge of cleaning equipment, products, and proper sanitization techniques
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Effective communication skills
Reliable transportation to work location
Flexibility to work various shifts as needed
Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions
Demonstrated reliability and strong work ethic

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous custodial experience is a plus

Responsibilities

Perform regular cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing of assigned areas
Empty trash receptacles and ensure proper waste disposal
Clean and maintain restroom facilities
Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment
Report maintenance issues and safety hazards to appropriate personnel
Perform basic maintenance tasks as needed
Follow established cleaning schedules and protocols
Respond promptly to cleaning emergencies and special requests
Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards
Assist with setup and breakdown of furniture for special events when needed
