About The Position

The Custodian I cleans and maintains public areas, including hallways, lobbies, stairways, and locker rooms. The role also delivers and retrieves rollaway beds, irons, ironing boards, and other items for guest rooms; keeps assigned areas clean; removes trash and debris; and performs property cleanup, including handling bio-chemical material. Additional duties include stocking linen supplies, loading and unloading linen carts, and ensuring preventative care of equipment and supplies. Other duties may be assigned by management.

Requirements

• Meet the minimum age requirement of 18 or 21, depending on the property.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be able to stand and walk for extended periods for the majority of the shift.
• Be able to push, pull, and lift up to 100 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• A minimum of one year of cleaning experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of assigned areas and pick up and remove trash and debris.
• Perform property cleanup, including bio-chemical material.
• Stock linen supplies in linen closets and load and unload linen carts.
• Ensure preventative care of equipment and supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
