About The Position

5280 High School is seeking a dependable, dedicated, and detail-oriented Janitor to maintain cleanliness and safety across our facilities. This role is essential in ensuring a hygienic, organized, and welcoming environment for employees, clients, and visitors. The ideal candidate will have experience in various cleaning and custodial tasks, with a strong commitment to quality and efficiency. Prior janitorial, custodial, or facilities maintenance experience is highly valued. Requirements

• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
• Must be versatile to the varying demands of the needs with 5280 Recovery High School
• Must be able to deal with students, employees, and citizens of the community in a friendly and tactful manner
• Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles preferred; experience in commercial or industrial cleaning is a plus
• Knowledge of floor care techniques preferred
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment and supplies used in residential, commercial, or industrial settings
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and safety standards
• Excellent time management skills to complete assigned duties efficiently
• Ability to work independently
• Complete any forms as prescribed.

Nice To Haves

• Prior janitorial, custodial, or facilities maintenance experience is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal across all areas of the facility
• Maintain floors through mopping, vacuuming, etc.
• Clean restrooms, kitchens, and common areas to ensure hygiene standards are met
• Conduct industrial cleaning as needed, including equipment sanitation and high dusting
• Assist with custodial responsibilities such as window washing and light maintenance tasks
• Support facilities maintenance activities including minor repairs or reporting issues for further action
• Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and properly stored
• Follow safety protocols during all cleaning procedures to prevent accidents or hazards
