About The Position

The Custodian Facilities Representative is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and professional environment throughout company facilities. This role performs routine and detailed cleaning tasks, including vacuuming, dusting, waste removal, floor care, and sanitization of restrooms, kitchens, conference rooms, and common areas. The position ensures that all areas are consistently maintained to high standards of cleanliness and hygiene while supporting a welcoming atmosphere for employees, visitors, and customers.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated understanding of cleaning techniques, methods, and sanitation standards.
  • Working knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and their proper handling and usage.
  • Awareness of infection control protocols and hygiene best practices.
  • Understanding of proper waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with organizational and regulatory guidelines.
  • Ability to identify and report facility maintenance issues, such as leaks, damages, or safety hazards.
  • Attention to detail – able to clean thoroughly and notice small issues
  • Time management – ability to complete tasks efficiently within a set schedule
  • Organization – keeping cleaning supplies and tools properly stored
  • Physical – ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks
  • Communication skills – basic ability to understand instructions and report issues
  • Problem-solving – addressing unexpected messes or cleaning challenges
  • Equipment operation – ability to use vacuums, buffers, mops, and other tools safely
  • Reliability and punctuality – consistent attendance and dependability
  • High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong work ethic with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with workplace safety procedures, including OSHA regulations and hazard communication standards.
  • Prior experience in cleaning, janitorial, or custodial services preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Vacuum carpets, rugs, offices, hallways, conference rooms, and common areas to maintain a clean and professional appearance.
  • Dust and clean desks, furniture, windowsills, shelving, equipment, fixtures, and other surfaces throughout company facilities.
  • Perform daily garbage removal and waste disposal from offices, restrooms, break rooms, garages, and common areas.
  • Empty trash and recycling receptacles and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
  • Sweep, mop, scrub, and maintain floors in all assigned areas.
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, kitchens, conference rooms, training rooms, and employee common areas.
  • Replenish restroom and kitchen supplies including soap, paper towels, toilet paper, hand sanitizer, and related consumables.
  • Clean interior glass, doors, walls, and other surfaces as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness of entrances, walkways, parking areas, and exterior grounds as assigned.
  • Perform scheduled deep-cleaning projects and seasonal cleaning activities.
  • Ensure all facilities maintain a clean, safe, organized, and welcoming environment for employees, patients, visitors, and customers.
