About The Position

This is a 12-month position open until filled. The role requires general knowledge of the county and the ability to operate a school bus safely. The position also involves custodial duties, requiring knowledge of routine and non-routine cleaning methods, procedures, and equipment usage. The successful candidate must be able to follow directions, get along well with others, and establish effective working relationships.

Requirements

• General knowledge of the county
• Skill in the safe operation of a school bus
• Ability to detect malfunctioning equipment
• Ability to assist children using patience and understanding
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school officials, parents, school personnel, and students
• Knowledge of, or the ability to learn routine and non-routine cleaning methods, procedures, and equipment usage
• Ability to follow oral and written directions
• Ability to get along well with others
• Completion of high school or equivalent
• Commensurate experience operating a commercial vehicle or school bus
• Current Virginia School Bus Driver Training Certificate
