About The Position

As the Custodian Assistant Supervisor, you will play an important role in supporting the Custodial Operations Supervisor in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and service across RMR and Food & Beverage locations throughout the resort. This is a full-time, seasonal position that combines hands-on custodial operations with team leadership and administrative support. You will help coordinate daily custodial activities, support the training and supervision of approximately 13 full-time and part-time employees, and work closely with other departments to ensure the resort remains clean, safe, welcoming, and operational throughout the winter season. The role requires a hands-on, organized, and adaptable leader who can work effectively in a fast-paced mountain environment. The Custodian Assistant Supervisor will report directly to the Custodial Operations Supervisor and the Director of Food and Beverage.

Requirements

  • Work eligibility in Canada – can provide work permit and SIN documentation
  • Previous custodial, housekeeping, or cleaning experience
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience, with the ability to train, coach and support team members
  • Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of cleanliness, presentation and safety
  • Ability to work effectively with multiple departments and maintain a professional, positive, and team-oriented attitude
  • Current valid driver’s license and acceptable driver’s abstract
  • Advanced skiing or snowboarding ability
  • Ability and willingness to work both indoors and outdoors in all winter weather conditions
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Fluency in English

Responsibilities

  • Lead by example by demonstrating professionalism, accountability, reliability, and a positive attitude that supports a strong team culture
  • Assist the Custodial Operations Supervisor with the day-to-day coordination and operation of RMR’s winter custodial services
  • Support the supervision of approximately 13 full-time and part-time employees, including scheduling, training, coaching, payroll, and departmental documentation
  • Maintain consistently high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, organization, and presentation across RMR and Food & Beverage locations
  • Lead and support the custodial team with daily operations, including on-mountain snow removal and other operational duties as required
  • Coordinate custodial operations and staffing needs with other departments across the resort
  • Monitor employee performance and provide ongoing guidance, coaching, and support
  • At all times, provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional, welcoming, and guest-focused approach when interacting with guests, employees, and other departments
  • Help maintain a comprehensive Occupational Health and Safety program and ensure compliance with RMR policies, procedures, and applicable industry, provincial, and federal standards
  • Adapt to changing operational priorities, staffing needs, weather conditions, and guest volumes while maintaining high service and cleanliness standards
  • Complete additional duties as required
