About The Position

This position is responsible for performing custodial duties to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment at Blackburn Elementary School. The role involves a standard 8-hour workday.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous custodial or cleaning experience is a plus.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Reliable and punctual.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including fixtures and floors.
• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
• Maintain cleanliness of common areas, classrooms, and offices.
• Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel.
• Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
• Follow established safety procedures and guidelines.
