About The Position

The Custodial Worker is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment according to Eisenhower Center expectations. This role involves daily cleaning of various areas, adherence to safety and infection control policies, and assisting with facility emergencies and special events. The position requires effective time management and collaboration with other departments.

Responsibilities

Responsible for knowing and observing relevant fire and safety regulations, and practicing infection control policies and procedures related to housekeeping.
Assist in facility emergencies (e.g., cleaning carpets after a flood) and preparing for special events (e.g., set-up and clean-up).
Keep assigned areas clean, meeting the standards set by Eisenhower Center.
Adhere to safety policies and procedures regarding chemical usage, clean-up, and infection control.
Assist with special cleaning assignments such as cleaning windows, light fixtures, floor cleaning, and other related housekeeping tasks.
Manage and use time effectively to complete regular duties, assigned tasks, and scheduled breaks.
Clean all client rooms, baths, showers, staff offices, therapy rooms, and public areas daily.
Clean floors, shampoo carpets, wash walls, and clean woodwork.
Polish furniture in common areas and polish door plates.
Work with Maintenance, Food Service, and Rehab staff in maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
