About The Position

This is work performing housekeeping duties including cleaning restrooms, classrooms, offices, common-use areas, and carpet and tile floors in accordance with the APPA cleaning standards. The incumbent's work is reviewed by the supervisor for accuracy and to ensure instructions are being followed.

Requirements

• Completion of ninth (9th) grade or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219.
• Some positions may require possession of a classified driver’s license appropriate to a type of vehicle operated.
• This position requires a background check.
• In conjunction with the University's policy, this position may also require a credit check.
• The holder of this position is designated as a “Responsible Employee" pursuant to their role under Title IX. Therefore, the incumbent must promptly report allegations of sexual misconduct, sexual violence, and child sexual abuse by or against any student, employee, contractor, or visitor to the University’s Title IX Administrator or any divisional Title IX Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain restrooms, classrooms, offices, kitchens, conference rooms, banquet rooms, large assembly rooms, auditoriums, halls, common areas, stairways, elevators, building entrance areas, windows, doors and display cases.
• Perform additional floor cleaning and maintenance duties.
• This position is designated as a Tier 2 respondent for designated campus emergencies and events. In the event of a declared campus emergency, the position incumbent will make every effort to return to campus when directed.
• Provides manpower during events
• Cleans up after events
• Receives and delivers supplies
• Assists other departments as needed
• Picks up materials from vendors.
