About The Position

The Custodial Trainee position is part of GSC's Supported Employment Group Program (SEP). Trainees work in a group enclave of 3–4 people with the Contracts team and a Job Coach to train in all aspects of custodial services at Company and/or Contract facilities. SEP supports trainees in developing and expanding the skills needed to prepare for a successful transition from the group setting to Competitive Integrated Employment (CIE) in their community.

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned daily cleaning tasks, including cleaning floors in lobbies, corridors, restrooms, offices, and other public areas.
• Vacuum and dust, and empty trash from offices, lobbies, and restrooms.
• Clean restrooms daily and conduct routine checks to spot-clean and replenish supplies.
• Clean interior glass and windows.
• Maintain clean and sanitary conditions throughout the work area.
• Keep custodial equipment and supplies neat and orderly.
• Interact cooperatively with Goodwill staff, Government Personnel, and customers.
• Follow safety rules and exercise caution in work-related activities.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by following social-distancing and personal-protective-equipment policies and procedures.
