About The Position

The Custodial Technician maintains a welcoming, clean, and sanitized facility by cleaning rooms and furnishings, disposing of waste, and following established policies and procedures to maintain high cleanliness standards. The role also keeps supplies stocked, performs basic maintenance tasks, reports emergency maintenance issues, and may help prepare for meetings, events, and chapel services.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Physically agile and dexterous.
Proficient knowledge of cleaning equipment and agents.
Proficient with handling basic maintenance repairs.
Resilient to cleaning compounds and solutions.
Ability to follow safety guidelines and take appropriate cautions.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

Basic computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain a clean, sanitized, and stocked facility.
Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax floors, stairs, and horizontal surfaces.
Vacuum carpeting and furnishings; dust furniture and décor.
Clean and polish glass tables, doors, mirrors, and similar surfaces.
Clean and sanitize restrooms and the kitchen, including appliances, surfaces, and cabinet interiors.
Collect and dispose of trash and debris inside the facility.
Replace burned-out light bulbs inside the facility.
Clean entry doors and remove dust, bugs, and webbing; sweep or vacuum exterior entry mats.
Straighten and rearrange furniture and, when needed, spot-clean fabrics to remove stains.
Maintain facial tissue and water dispensers and replenish supplies on an ongoing basis.
Maintain adequate kitchen and cleaning supplies, order supplies, or advise management when reordering is needed.
Notify management of emergency maintenance issues.
May set up and clean up after team meetings or events, including disposing of food and waste.
May assist with chapel service setup and arrangement or deliver floral tributes to visitation areas and the chapel.
