About The Position

The Manager I, Site, performs on-site management of janitorial services contracts at commercial sites, State Set-Aside, and Federal contracts in Colorado Springs, Pueblo, Denver, or surrounding locations to ensure customer standards and requirements are met or exceeded. The position is responsible for adhering to all Goodwill policies and procedures and meeting Goodwill quality standards. This is a high-visibility leadership role for someone who isn't afraid to lead from the front. Ownership: You manage the full lifecycle of the site, from supply inventory and budgeting to safety training. Team Development: You supervise, train, and inspire a diverse team to meet strict cleaning standards. Lead by Example: You are a "working manager." When the team is short or a deadline is tight, you are willing to jump in and clean alongside your crew to ensure the job is done right.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of previous experience in supervision of janitorial, hospitality, or facilities employees.
  • Solid understanding of cleaning chemicals, general janitorial equipment, and cleaning technologies.
  • Solid understanding of floor care equipment.
  • Solid understanding of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.
  • Must conduct self in a professional manner conducive to a product work environment.
  • Must demonstrate good judgment, responsibility, and initiative.
  • Must possess effective interpersonal skills including the ability to supervise people, work cooperatively, to organize work, and make good decisions.
  • Must maintain a professional appearance appropriate for the work setting.
  • Must have the ability to drive for company business.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age (for driving company vehicles).
  • Must have a valid Colorado State driver license.
  • Must be able to operate company vehicle, and adhere to all Federal, State, and local laws governing vehicle operation.
  • Must have valid vehicle insurance, valid driver license, and vehicle must be in roadworthy condition (if using personal vehicle for company business).
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must pass comprehensive background checks.
  • Must complete background checks on all employees annually.
  • Must not have convictions for felony, forgery, fraud, weapons charges, burglary, robbery, theft, assault and battery, possession of a controlled substance, manufacturing of a controlled substance, or delivery of a controlled substance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain clean, safe work conditions within the facility and surrounding area, setting an example for subordinates to emulate which will serve as a model for high standards.
  • Learn and understand the staffing requirements of State Set-Aside and/or the AbilityOne programs relating to the employment of applicants with disabilities.
  • Advise the Director of Contract Operations through formal and informal means on the overall operation and workflow, sharing pertinent information related to customer demands, quality control problems, material/equipment shortages, and personnel needs.
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with the statement of work, with adherence to all required quality control measures and contract deliverables.
  • Attend all mandated Goodwill training and Safety meetings.
  • Review cleaning procedures and maintain correct staffing levels, as necessary.
  • Supervise work Leads and conduct monthly staff and training meetings.
  • Provide guidance to assigned work leaders, employees, and trainees who work within the department to maintain contract requirements.
  • Assist in budgetary, equipment requirements and purchases.
  • Assist Case Managers with AbilityOne clients while maintaining confidentiality (for Federal contracts).
  • Conduct a physical inventory of janitorial supplies on a weekly basis and submit inventory reports to the Director of Contract Operations.
  • Work with Quality Assurance Evaluator (QAE) Inspectors, Building Managers, and customers daily.
