About The Position
Under the supervision of the Custodial Division Manager, this position helps oversee and supervise routine custodial activities and staff. The role is responsible for training new employees, coordinating work duties and schedules, and also serves as the safety coordinator. This position exercises supervision over custodial staff and crew chiefs.
Requirements
- Two (2) years of custodial service experience with one (1) year supervisory experience.
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- A valid Texas driver’s license; the ability to obtain one within ninety (90) days, or a military waiver is required.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, crouch, stoop, squat, crawl, twist, and climb.
- With or without the accommodation, ability to lift 40 pounds.
- Ability to travel to different job sites.
- Pass a comprehensive Federal background check.

Responsibilities
- Oversee custodial work and crew chiefs, maintaining high standards of safety, cleanliness and efficiency.
- Ensure all positions are covered during vacations or illnesses.
- Responsible for the Custodial Services Division in the absence of the Custodial Services Manager.
- Evaluate performance of custodial staff and provide recommendations to Custodial Services Manager and assist with disciplinary action.
- Routinely inspect all custodial work areas and address any complaints or concerns.
- Conduct safety meetings.
- Coordinate and oversee crew with stripping and waxing duties.
- Assist with the division equipment replacement and maintenance process.
- Assist with the development of the Custodial Services Department budget; to include equipment, materials and supplies.
- Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
