About The Position
This position assists the plant manager in maintaining the safety, security, cleanliness, and appearance of the physical plant. The role involves cleaning various areas, responding to requests, and performing other duties as assigned. The job requires the ability to read and comprehend service orders and repair requests, operate equipment, and use cleaning chemicals safely. Human relations skills are important for conducting activities in group settings with decorum and diplomacy.
Requirements
- Must be able to read and comprehend service order and repair request documents.
- Must be able to read and write.
- Must be able to comprehend instructions on operation of equipment of all types and on the use of chemicals used in cleaning operations.

- Ability to conduct activities in group settings maintaining an objective attitude, decorum and diplomacy, tact and discretion.
Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness of halls and entrances.
- Clean walls and windows.
- Check dressing rooms.
- Clean classroom units as specified in accordance with the working schedule and minimum cleaning schedule specific school needs.
- Be responsive to coordinator, plant manager and/or assistant custodian where appropriate.
- Perform all other duties as required by the plant manager or Coordinator of Maintenance & Custodial Services.
