About The Position

PCSI is hiring a Supervisor to oversee custodians, floor technicians, and grounds workers at an assigned El Paso Ports of Entry site, including the Ysleta port of entry. The Supervisor ensures contracted work is completed properly, on time, and in accordance with safety and quality standards. This is a working supervisor role that may involve assisting employees with duties, monitoring and training staff, assigning tasks and schedules, and supporting corrective actions and administrative work with the Assistant Project Manager and Project Manager.

The position typically works an evening shift Monday through Friday from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., with some schedule flexibility required. The role may require work any time or day of the week, including weekends and holidays, and includes outdoor work in inclement weather and exposure to dirt, debris, and odors. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least three years of experience supervising custodial and grounds crews within the last five years.
• English proficiency.
• Ability to pass criminal, drug, and driving screening.
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance and base access to assigned sites.
• Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather as needed and be exposed to dirt, debris, and odors.
• Ability to work any time or day of the week, including weekends and holidays.
• Some knowledge of PC functions and software, including Windows applications, MS Word, and MS Excel.
• Ability to perform routine, unskilled, and semi-skilled janitorial work to support subordinates.
• Ability to operate power equipment for landscaping tasks, including cutting grass, trimming edges, pruning trees, pulling out stumps, and planting vegetation.
• Some knowledge of irrigation systems, including repairing leaks, operating the system, and adjusting its timer.
• Ability to work accurately and quickly.
• Ability to report employee issues to the Assistant Project Manager or Project Manager for disciplinary action as needed.
• Ability to delegate tasks and ensure they are completed.
• Ability to train employees on assigned duties.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and as a team player.
• Ability to understand and correctly execute Safety Data Sheets (SDS).

Responsibilities

• Oversee an assigned port of entry site and ensure contracted work is completed properly, on time, and safely.
• Perform or assist employees with required duties when needed as a working supervisor.
• Monitor, train, and motivate employees, including scheduling and providing on-the-job training on new processes and procedures.
• Encourage and guide employees’ personal and professional development; assign tasks and work schedules.
• Document complaints using corrective action reports in accordance with PCSI’s Corrective Action Process.
• Support and train employees in the use of landscaping power equipment and performance of contract landscaping tasks.
• Support and train floor technicians in floor stripping, waxing, and buffing.
• Assist the Project Manager and Assistant Project Manager in maintaining facility standards and quality.
• Participate in monthly safety meetings and safety training.
• Work with the Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager, and Safety and Risk Mitigation on issues related to established goals.
• Maintain and support employees’ use of Safety Data Sheets (SDS), ensuring SDS binders are updated.
• Follow facility safety policies and procedures and applicable City, State, and Federal agency requirements, and ensure employee compliance.
