About The Position
The Custodial Attendant is responsible for ensuring the property remains clean, safe, and welcoming for all tenants. This hands-on role involves general facility maintenance & custodial duties.
Requirements
- Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform strenuous physical tasks both indoors and outdoors.
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
Nice To Haves
- Previous janitorial and pool experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Clean common areas & entries on days janitorial company does not clean, including hallways, lobbies, laundry rooms, and stairwells.
- Empty trash receptacles and ensure dumpster areas are clean and free of debris.
- Maintain outdoor areas, remove litter, pick up dog waste, and perform seasonal exterior maintenance, including shoveling snow, ice removal, and salting sidewalks.
- Water & maintain seasonal pots.
- Test chemicals in pool and notify maintenance if chemicals are unbalanced or other safety concerns.
- Straighten furniture & removed trash.
- Prepare vacant apartments for new residents by completing cleaning.
- Monitor the premises for safety hazards, property damage, or policy violations.
- Ensure building doors and windows are secured.
- Act as a helpful and approachable point of contact for residents, addressing their concerns or directing them to appropriate management staff.
