The Arizona Corporation Commission is one of the most unique state agencies in the country, with a mission that spans utility rate making, securities registration and enforcement, rail and pipeline safety, and corporate business filings. The Corporations Division approves corporate names and grants corporate or limited liability company status to entities organizing under the laws of the State of Arizona. It also grants authority to foreign corporations and limited liability companies to transact business in the State, collects annual reports from all corporations of record, and maintains records for the benefit of public record and service of process. This role involves responding to telephone inquiries regarding the submission, examination, and filing of corporation and limited liability company documents by providing information and conducting research of the public records maintained by the Corporations Division. This includes making corrections to the database as needed through research and extensive customer interaction. The position also involves participating in cross-training with other sections, including examination and processing of these documents in accordance with Titles 10 and 29 of the Arizona Revised Statutes.
