About The Position

The Arizona Corporation Commission is a unique state agency where commissioners are elected. Established by the Arizona Constitution, the ACC is a medium-sized agency with offices in Phoenix and Tucson. Our mission is diverse—spanning utility rate making; securities registration and enforcement; rail and pipeline safety; and corporate business filings—and we boast average employment tenure of nearly 10 years. The Corporations Division approves corporate names and grants corporate or limited liability company status to entities organizing under the laws of the State of Arizona; grants authority to foreign corporations and limited liability companies to transact business in the State; collects annual reports from all corporations of record; and maintains records for the benefit of public record and service of process.

Requirements

  • Proficiency working in a high volume in-bound call center, with ability to handle 70+ calls daily
  • Mastery of effective and efficient customer service techniques

  • Research and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to learn and comprehend filing requirements according to Titles 10 & 29 (limited liability companies) Arizona Revised Statutes
  • Ability to examine all documents submitted to the ACC for compliance with Titles 10 & 29 and ACC policies and procedures
  • Skilled in operating multiple web and system PC applications
  • Ability to interact positively with customers and coworkers
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work effectively in various situations in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Respond to telephone inquiries regarding the submission, examination, and filing of corporation and limited liability company documents by providing information and conducting research of the public records maintained by the Corporations Division.
  • Make corrections to the database as needed through research and extensive customer interaction.
  • Participate in cross-training with other sections, including examination and processing of these documents in accordance with Titles 10 and 29 of the Arizona Revised Statutes.
