About The Position

The Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) and the Human Resource Division (HRD) are looking for a Curriculum Designer and Manager to lead organizational development efforts. As the supervisor of a four-member team, you will use person-centered principles to collaboratively create and lead organizational development efforts that foster and sustain a culture of innovation, process/quality improvement, people engagement/development, and values-based behavior. Building networks, partnerships, and earning trust will be paramount as you influence others to engage in training sessions. Continuous improvement, good decision-making skills, and the ability to plan your day will be essential as you develop and improve curricula.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with major study in education, instructional design, organizational development, human resource management, business administration, public administration or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a learning and development program, developing and delivering training activities.
  • Equivalent relevant professional experience/education.
  • Skilled at building and maintaining relationships.
  • Able to influence those who don’t report to you.
  • Big picture thinking while focusing on minutiae.
  • Consult and influence on proper usage of curriculum.
  • Learn and disseminate new information to different work groups.
  • Communicate with all levels of customers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional consultation to executives, managers, and supervisors.
  • Author and develop inclusive instructional content.
  • Build online learning assessments and evaluations in the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Create and manage the overall curriculum/course structure.
  • Deliver virtual, instructor-led, and blended learning activities.
