About The Position

The Curriculum Coordinator supports curriculum implementation, instructional quality, teacher development, accreditation, compliance, and child development at The Goddard School in Pearland, Texas. The role helps ensure children receive developmentally appropriate, engaging learning experiences and that classroom practices meet Goddard standards and applicable Texas requirements. The coordinator works with teachers and school leadership on observations, coaching, improvement planning, documentation, and family engagement.

Requirements

At least two years of experience working in a licensed early childhood education program.
Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices and early childhood development from infancy through Pre-K.
Understanding of lesson planning, classroom observations, developmental assessment, and individualized instruction.
Familiarity with Texas Child Care Regulation requirements and Texas Rising Star quality measures.
Strong organizational, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to provide constructive feedback, prioritize responsibilities, and follow through on improvement initiatives.
Proficiency with basic computer applications, digital documentation, and professional communication tools.
Ability to meet applicable Texas employment, background check, training, and qualification requirements.

Nice To Haves

Associate or bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, or a related field preferred.
Previous leadership, curriculum coordination, mentoring, or teacher-coaching experience strongly preferred.
Knowledge of Cognia accreditation and continuous improvement practices preferred.
Familiarity with The Goddard School’s Wonder of Learning® curriculum and quality assurance expectations preferred.

Responsibilities

Support implementation of The Goddard School’s Wonder of Learning® curriculum and instructional standards; review lesson plans and promote engaging, differentiated learning experiences across age groups and learning domains.
Conduct classroom observations and provide constructive feedback, coaching, and modeling; establish teacher improvement goals and monitor progress.
Support staff onboarding, mentoring, and professional development.
Support Texas Rising Star assessments, monitoring visits, and quality improvement efforts; monitor relevant quality measures and maintain related documentation.
Support Cognia Performance Standards, school improvement planning, accreditation preparation, evidence collection, and measurable improvement goals.
Support adherence to Goddard quality assurance standards, curriculum requirements, and school procedures; conduct classroom quality checks and monitor learning centers, materials, displays, and organization.
Support compliance with Texas Health and Human Services Child Care Regulation requirements for health, safety, supervision, and documentation; promptly report significant concerns to school leadership.
Maintain accurate records and confidentiality.
Support teachers in observing and documenting children’s developmental progress and using assessment information to guide lesson planning and individualized learning.
Communicate developmental concerns to leadership and support family communication as directed.
Promote children’s cognitive, language, physical, social, and emotional development.
Support family communication about curriculum, classroom activities, and children’s learning, and assist with family engagement events.
