About The Position

Municipal Pipe Tool Co., LLC is a sewer maintenance and rehabilitation contractor with over 50 years of experience protecting the environment. We work with cities and industries across the Midwest to maintain and increase the efficiency and integrity of their sewer pipes, reducing Inflows/Infiltration (I/I) and Sanitary Sewer Overflows (SSOs). We specialize in Cured In Place Pipelining (CIPP), a cost-effective, trenchless method for main line sewers that requires no excavation. Based in Hudson, Iowa, we are committed to improving aging infrastructure for an environmentally sound future and invest in team-oriented individuals. This role requires travel throughout the work week and the ability to work overtime. CDL Class A/B is required, and training is provided for those with a CDL permit. We are seeking individuals to join our CIPP and Maintenance crews, forming new pipes within existing damaged ones. This role offers a challenging opportunity to work with state-of-the-art robotics and travel extensively.

Requirements

  • Must be able to enter confined spaces (e.g., Manholes).
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more.
  • Must have a good driving record.
  • Must be able to obtain a Class A CDL permit prior to hire.
  • Must obtain a Class A CDL license within the first 60 days of employment (with on-the-job training provided).

Responsibilities

  • Forms new pipe within existing damaged pipe.
  • Performs routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment.
  • Refers defects or needed repairs to the supervisor.
  • Cleans equipment.
  • Assists in the installation and maintenance of traffic control devices.
  • Controls traffic at worksites by flagging to guide traffic through work areas.
  • Assists in training lower-level employees performing maintenance and repair duties.
