About The Position

Municipal Pipe Tool Co., LLC is a sewer maintenance and rehabilitation contractor with over 50 years of experience protecting the environment. We work with cities and industries across the Midwest to maintain and increase the efficiency and integrity of their sewer pipes, reducing Inflows/Infiltration (I/I) and Sanitary Sewer Overflows (SSOs). We specialize in Cured In Place Pipelining (CIPP), a cost-effective and trenchless method for main line sewers. Based in Hudson, Iowa, we are committed to improving aging infrastructure for an environmentally sound future and invest in team-oriented individuals. This role requires travel throughout the work week and the ability to work overtime. CDL Class A/B is required, and training is provided for those with a CDL permit.

Requirements

  • Great driving record.
  • Team player, flexible and demonstrate the ability to interact positively and effectively with customers, staff and community.
  • Ability to travel overnights 90% to 100% and work significant amounts of overtime.
  • Ability to work hard while performing physically demanding work on job sites - including Walking, sitting, standing for extended periods of time, bending, lifting, twisting, and moving intermittently during working hours.
  • Properly follows company and OSHA safety procedures.
  • Brings problems to the attention of the foreman, superintendent, safety director or HR manager.
  • Follows daily procedures and protocols as set forth in job orientations and trainings.
  • Must be able to enter confined spaces – examples include but are not limited to Manholes.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more.
  • Must have good driving record and be able to obtain Class A CDL permit prior to hire and with On-the-job CDL training, obtain Class A CDL license within first 60 days of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Forms new pipe within existing damaged pipe using the CIPP method.
  • Performs routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment.
  • Refers defects or needed repairs to the supervisor.
  • Cleans equipment.
  • Assists in the installation and maintenance of traffic control devices.
  • Controls traffic at worksites by flagging to guide traffic through work areas.
  • Assists in training lower-level employees performing maintenance and repair duties.
