About The Position

The Curbside Clerk fulfills customers’ online curbside orders and helps create a convenient, accurate, and friendly pickup experience. The role involves receiving order workflow through a dashboard, selecting and verifying products throughout the store, preparing and staging orders appropriately, and providing service and collecting payment at the Meijer Pickup area. The clerk also helps maintain a clean, organized curbside area and supports additional tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-first approach.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• At least 1 year of experience.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and dependable.
• Able to follow procedures efficiently and consistently.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

• Prior retail experience preferred.
• Past cashier experience preferred.
• Past online ordering experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous, remarkable service at the curbside pickup area by accurately fulfilling orders and collecting payment.
• Greet customers in person and on the phone, and respond to their questions and needs.
• Maintain positive working relationships with customers, store team members, and leadership.
• Resolve customer concerns quickly, partnering with leadership when needed.
• Receive daily workflow through a dashboard and fulfill orders throughout the shift.
• Select items throughout the store, scan and verify products, and bag items according to bagging standards.
• Store and stage orders correctly while following food safety guidelines.
• Keep the curbside area clean, neat, and ready for the next pickup.
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
