Cannabis Cultivation Technician
About The Position
The Cultivation Technician is a versatile, hands-on role responsible for maintaining and caring for cannabis plants at multiple stages, including watering, plant maintenance, up-potting, scouting, spraying, environmental monitoring and control, and cloning. The technician supports quality, cleanliness, efficiency, and regulatory compliance in a collaborative production environment. The position involves cultivation operations, accurate recordkeeping, compliance and sanitation, and teamwork across departments. Team members may be cross-trained and rotated between departments based on business needs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures precisely.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, hands-on production environment.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team-first mentality.
- Willingness to be flexible and take on varying responsibilities as needed.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must pass background checks required by the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission.
- Must obtain and maintain an active Cannabis Agent Registration Card issued by the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission.
Nice To Haves
- At least 1 year of experience in cannabis, agriculture, or manufacturing; preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Perform cloning, transplanting, watering, pruning, trellising, and defoliation.
- Monitor plant health and environmental conditions and make adjustments as directed.
- Maintain accurate cultivation records, labels, and inventory in METRC and internal tracking systems.
- Follow company SOPs and comply with Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission regulations.
- Maintain clean and organized workspaces throughout the facility.
- Document daily tasks, product weights, and activities for quality assurance and regulatory reporting.
- Participate in cross-training and rotate between departments based on business needs.
- Support a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork.
- Communicate proactively with supervisors and coworkers to improve processes.
