About The Position

The Cultivation Assistant supports plant care and harvesting in a fast-paced cannabis cultivation operation. The role includes daily maintenance of plants in vegetative and bloom rooms, preparing and maintaining facility rooms, and assisting with harvesting activities as scheduled. The assistant also performs other job-related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

Produce accurate work in a fast-paced environment.
Be reliable, positive, punctual, and able to work as a team player.
Work quickly under pressure.
Have manual dexterity and strength and be willing to get dirty.
Be able to handle high heat and humidity on a regular basis.
Be able to lift, bend, squat, climb, and pass items weighing up to 40 lbs.
Be able to stand and walk throughout the facility for an entire shift.
Be able and willing to operate, or learn to operate, a variety of hand tools.
Communicate proficiently in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain facility rooms, including sanitization and basic upkeep.
Transplant plants to other areas of the facility and load vegetative areas across multiple tiers.
Trellis and transplant plants as instructed.
Place plant feeder lines.
Maintain plants through defoliation, pruning, basic training, and shaping.
Cut down plants and hang stalks to dry.
Assist with harvesting activities as scheduled.
Perform additional job-related duties as required by management.
