About The Position

The IMPACT Culinary Management in Training Program at Montage International is designed for passionate individuals looking to turn their talent into a fulfilling career in luxury hospitality. Participants will gain hands-on leadership development, mentorship from experienced culinary leaders, and exposure to luxury hospitality operations. The program involves rotations through various culinary outlets, learning culinary execution, and supervisory/administrative training. Associates will support all aspects of culinary operations, ensure high-quality food products and guest experiences, assist with inventory and cost control, and contribute to workforce planning and kitchen operations. The program emphasizes being hands-on, attending meetings, improving processes, developing relationships, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Requirements

  • Graduated from a two- or four-year college or university with a degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or Food Service Management
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to collaborate in a team environment
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Grasping, holding, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Push and pull equipment up to 200 pounds

Nice To Haves

  • Food and beverage experience within hotel/resort environment preferred
  • Luxury hotel experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Rotation through various culinary outlets and roles learning hands-on culinary execution with supervisory and administrative training
  • Support all aspects of culinary operations across multiple dining venues, including banquet, restaurant, and in-room dining environments
  • Ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality food products, presentation standards, and guest experiences aligned with brand expectations
  • Assist with inventory management, procurement, cost control initiatives, and waste reduction efforts to support financial objectives
  • Contribute to workforce planning and daily kitchen operations, including scheduling, shift coordination, and labor productivity initiatives
  • Attend meetings, improve processes, and develop relationships
  • Deliver on guests’ expectations and create WOW moments
  • Maintain high standards of service and attention to detail
  • Perform additional duties as assigned based on business demands
