About The Position

The Culinary Intern will support the kitchen team by assisting with daily food preparation, kitchen operations, and maintaining culinary standards. This internship offers hands-on experience in a professional hotel kitchen environment and is designed to provide students or recent graduates with real-world experience in the hospitality industry.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Culinary Arts or Hospitality program.
  • Basic understanding of kitchen tools, techniques, and safety standards.
  • Strong interest in culinary arts and hospitality.
  • Able to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Assist chefs with food preparation for hotel restaurants, banquets, and in-room dining.
  • Practice proper food handling and sanitation in compliance with local health regulations and hotel policies.
  • Participate in station setup and breakdown procedures.
  • Help with receiving and proper storage of inventory.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations.
  • Shadow culinary staff to learn about inventory management, menu planning, and food presentation.
  • Comply with all safety and emergency procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the chef or supervisor.
