About The Position

Prairie Vista Village is seeking a dedicated Culinary/Dietary Aide to help provide nutritious meals and create a relaxing, enjoyable dining experience for residents and guests. The role includes serving meals, completing assigned Dietary Department work and cleaning routines, and helping maintain a clean and safe environment. Prairie Vista Village is a senior living community offering independent living, assisted living, short-term rehabilitation, and long-term care.

This is a full-time position, generally scheduled for eight-hour shifts, with a listed day shift of 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The job posting describes full-time positions as 30 or more hours weekly. The community is tobacco-free and follows CMS and CDC protocols and guidelines.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED is preferred but not required.

Nice To Haves

• ServSafe certification is encouraged but not required.

Responsibilities

• Help create a restaurant-style dining experience through meal service, customer service, and collaboration.
• Follow written and oral instructions, diet orders, tray cards, and work assignments.
• Ensure meal orders are delivered accurately and special requests or dietary restrictions are noted and followed.
• Perform defined work routines.
• Assist with cleaning after meals and setting up for the next meal.
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Assist with receiving and storing food and supplies as directed by the Culinary Director.
• Attend scheduled department meetings and educational programs.
• Follow safety codes while performing duties.
• Follow infection control procedures.
• Understand the community's fire and disaster plans and follow established procedures during drills and emergencies.
• Remain knowledgeable about applicable federal, state, and community rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
