About The Position

The Server / Dietary Aide is responsible for creating a warm and welcoming dining experience for residents. The role assists cooks with meal preparation and service, builds connections with residents, works courteously with coworkers, and follows procedures outlined by state and federal regulations. The position also includes taking and relaying orders, serving meals, helping prepare food, and maintaining clean dining and kitchen areas.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Serving experience is preferred but not required.
Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet residents warmly and promptly for the dining experience.
Accurately take food and drink orders in the dining room and relay them to kitchen staff.
Know the menu and describe meal options.
Serve food and drinks efficiently and courteously.
Check on residents throughout meals, ensure their satisfaction, and address concerns.
Assist with food preparation.
Set up the dining room as a clean, inviting space.
Clean resident eating areas, kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils.
Report issues or problems to the Dietary Manager.
Attend in-services and other required meetings.
Promote and exemplify Priority Life Care’s mission and values.
