About The Position

Eventide Fargo Care Center in south Fargo, North Dakota, is seeking a full-time Culinary Cook for the 11 a.m.–7:30 p.m. shift. The role includes an every-other-weekend and holiday rotation.

The Culinary Cook prepares and/or directs the preparation of food for residents, following applicable sanitation, health, and personal hygiene standards, along with established food production programs and procedures. The position also supports timely meal service, resident satisfaction, kitchen safety and sanitation, inventory management, and catered events.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
• 1–3 years of previous culinary experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality meals according to standardized recipes and techniques.
• Use and direct the use of accurate portion-control standards.
• Maintain sanitary conditions in the kitchen at all times.
• Review menus daily to verify that required items are prepared as needed.
• Store leftovers according to food-handling standards.
• Operate equipment correctly, safely, sanitarily, and respectfully.
• Supervise the dining experience to ensure resident satisfaction with meal service.
• Check food-product temperatures and document them in the temperature log.
• Clean equipment and work areas, and complete assigned cleaning tasks according to schedule.
• Inventory and order food products to maintain adequate supplies.
• Oversee catering events, ensuring the quality, safety, and presentation of catered meals.
• Organize and plan work schedules to meet meal service times.
• Prioritize and shift workload when staff shortages occur.
• Prompt and direct servers to provide timely meal service.
• Interact appropriately with staff to correct or accommodate immediate concerns or problems.
