About The Position

Eventide Fargo Senior Living Apartments in south Fargo, North Dakota, is hiring a full-time Culinary Cook for its Senior Living community. The role works a 10 a.m.–7 p.m. shift and includes an every-other-weekend and holiday rotation. The Culinary Cook prepares food and/or directs its preparation for residents in compliance with applicable sanitation, health, and personal hygiene standards, as well as established food production programs and procedures.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• 1–3 years of previous culinary experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality meals according to standardized recipes and techniques.
• Use and direct the use of accurate portion-control standards.
• Maintain sanitary conditions in the kitchen at all times.
• Review menus daily and verify that required items are prepared.
• Store leftovers according to food-handling standards.
• Operate equipment correctly, safely, sanitarily, and respectfully.
• Oversee the dining experience to support resident satisfaction with meal service.
• Check food-product temperatures and document them in the temperature log.
• Clean equipment and work areas and complete assigned cleaning tasks according to schedule.
• Inventory and order food products, ensuring adequate stock.
• Oversee catering events and ensure the quality, safety, and presentation of catered meals.
• Organize and plan work schedules to meet meal-service times.
• Prioritize and adjust workload in the event of staff shortages.
• Prompt and direct servers to provide timely meal service.
• Interact appropriately with staff to address or accommodate immediate concerns or problems.
