Enhances and improves the SRI Management experience specifically in Artful Dining for residents, families, and guests. Demonstrates and promotes SRIM's core value of the golden rule. Under general supervision, assists with food preparation and serving by performing various duties. This role involves assisting with food preparation according to the menu, following departmental procedures for sanitation, safety, and cleaning, and proper dishwashing procedures. The position also includes serving residents in the dining room for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, cleaning kitchen and dining areas, and maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment. The Culinary Assistant ensures a dignified and caring atmosphere, responds promptly to resident requests, communicates effectively with residents, and maintains a safe working environment. They practice good body mechanics, report safety hazards, and follow established policies and procedures, especially in emergency situations. Teamwork, a positive and respectful attitude, and compliance with attendance policies are expected. The role also involves attending trainings and meetings, wearing appropriate attire, refraining from discussing resident care with visitors, and adhering to HIPAA regulations. Assisting with training new employees and taking initiative on special projects are also part of the responsibilities.
