The primary goal of the Medical Assisting Apprenticeship Prep course is to encourage a diverse pool of high school students with exemplary interpersonal skills to consider a career as a Medical Assistant. The program will provide SW Washington high school students with the foundational skill and practical knowledge required to enter into a Registered Apprenticeship in Medical Assisting. The Medical Assisting Apprenticeship Prep teacher will provide instruction on the skills needed to obtain certification as an M.A., as well as supervision of the practicum component of the coursework. This position will be 3.45 hours per day, 185 days per year (.46 FTE) working at ESD 112 in Vancouver, WA and remote, with frequent travel throughout the ESD 112 region.
