Career & Technical Education (CTE) provides students with the opportunity to explore career pathways while earning industry-recognized skills and credentials. These programs combine classroom instruction with hands-on learning to prepare students for college, careers, and beyond. CTE offers students the chance to gain real-world experience in a chosen career field, earn industry certifications while in high school, take college-level courses through dual enrollment and earn college credits through CTE articulation agreements, build critical skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, and creativity, and graduate with both a high school diploma and career credentials. Programs begin in 10th grade and continue through 12th grade, with students completing 1,080 hours of hands-on training. There are opportunities to connect with local employers, colleges, and industry partners, and participation in Career & Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs), such as FBLA, HOSA, SkillsUSA, or DECA, for leadership and competition opportunities.
