About The Position

This position operates computed tomography scanners for a variety of procedures following directives of staff radiologists. The technologist explains procedures to patients, administers contrast media as requested, and schedules patients in an organized manner. All duties are performed according to approved protocols.

Requirements

• Associate's degree.
• Graduate of an accredited radiography program.
• Ohio Department of Health Ohio Radiologic License.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient clinical history for procedures.
• Review lab values and screen patients for allergies to identify contraindications to contrast media.
• Administer oral and intravenous contrast media.
• Operate CT scanners for a variety of procedures.
• Coordinate workload with other clinical sections and departments.
• Monitor quality in patient care functions.
• Explain procedures to patients and schedule patients in an organized manner.
