Fairfax Radiology Centers is hiring a full-time CT Technologist for its Float Pool, supporting outpatient imaging centers throughout Northern Virginia. The technologist provides diagnostic CT services across multiple locations, adapting to different scanners, protocols, teams, and workflows while maintaining consistent standards of image quality, patient care, and safety. The role has a predictable Monday–Friday schedule, with start times between 6:30 AM and 8:30 AM, and no weekends, holidays, or call. Travel between FRC locations is required; the position includes a float differential and mileage reimbursement. The technologist independently performs CT examinations, produces diagnostic images for radiologist interpretation, administers intravenous contrast according to established protocols and scope of practice, and applies radiation-safety principles. The role also involves reviewing orders and patient histories, assessing contrast risks, monitoring patients, communicating pertinent clinical information, documenting examinations, and following infection-prevention, equipment-safety, and quality-assurance protocols. The position emphasizes compassionate patient care, clear explanations of procedures, collaboration with radiologists and clinical teams, and dependable coverage across locations. Within the first 90 days, the successful candidate is expected to perform examinations confidently at multiple sites, adapt to varying equipment and workflows, build strong working relationships, deliver safe and accurate imaging, and become a reliable resource for Float Pool coverage. Fairfax Radiology Centers describes itself as a Northern Virginia outpatient diagnostic imaging provider with 20 imaging centers, more than 110 subspecialized radiologists, and over 700 employees. The listed hourly pay range is $39.95–$54.05, plus a $3-per-hour float differential. Placement in the range depends on experience, education, certifications, and internal equity. A sign-on bonus may be available; candidates are asked to inquire about eligibility.
