About The Position

We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join a diagnostic imaging team in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The CT Technologist will perform high-quality computed tomography (CT) examinations while ensuring patient safety, compliance with radiation protection standards, and adherence to departmental protocols. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, excellent patient care skills, and a commitment to quality imaging services.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Active New York State License as a Radiologic Technologist (L.R.T.).
  • Current ARRT Certification in Radiography.
  • Current ARRT CT Certification.
  • BLS Certification.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of recent CT Technologist experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of CT imaging procedures, protocols, and equipment operation.
  • Understanding of radiation safety principles and quality assurance practices.
  • Excellent patient care and communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to diagnostic image quality.
  • Ability to maintain accurate documentation and comply with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform CT imaging procedures according to physician orders and departmental protocols.
  • Utilize appropriate kV and mA techniques to ensure high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Prepare and position patients for CT examinations while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Perform daily quality control and calibration checks on CT equipment to verify proper functionality.
  • Administer contrast agents and other imaging-related materials in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
  • Monitor patients during imaging procedures and respond appropriately to patient needs.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, logs, charge records, and quality assurance records.
  • Report equipment malfunctions and assist with troubleshooting as needed.
  • Conduct quality control, quality assurance, and safety testing procedures.
  • Adhere to radiation safety standards and ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles.
  • Collaborate effectively with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain compliance with facility policies, accreditation requirements, and regulatory standards.
