About The Position

St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a CT Technologist II for our Edgewood Radiology department located within the Edgewood hospital. This is a Full Time position with 36 hours per week, working 7 PM to 7 AM, with a 2-12 Weekend Shift Option. The role involves producing high-quality radiographs and basic CT scans for interpretation and diagnosis, while demonstrating respect, dignity, kindness, and empathy in all interactions.

Requirements

  • Current CPR certification
  • Graduate of an approved accredited program of Radiologic Technology.
  • ARRT(R) registered
  • Complete ARRT (CT) within 27 months of job assignment.
  • Complete CT competency checklist within the first 90 days of job assignment.
  • Complete ARRT (CT) certification within 2 years of competency checklist completion.
  • Kentucky KBMIRT Radiation Operator's License - Radiography (Temporary or Permanent)
  • Associate has 12 months from the issuance of a Temporary KBMIRT Radiation Operator’s License – Radiography to obtain ARRT(R).
  • Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) License – (Radiologic Technologist or Radiology Student Permit)
  • Associate has 6 months from the issuance of a Radiology Student Permit to obtain ARRT(R).

Responsibilities

  • Operates all equipment in an effective, safe, and efficient manner.
  • Employs proper radiographic positioning in accordance with current department procedures.
  • Performs routine maintenance in cleaning all equipment.
  • Complies with house-wide BSI precautions.
  • Follows safety steps required to perform duties and be in compliance with medical, state, and federal safety standards.
  • Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriately.
  • Proficient in all aspects of ordered CT procedures.
  • Effectively utilizes all necessary computer systems in compliance with HIPPA guidelines.
  • Obtains and records all patient data as required by the medical center, state, JCAHO, or other agencies.
  • Ensures proper charging of all procedures, coding, and modifiers are correct.
  • Reviews images for high quality.
  • Assists in performing QC, QA, QI, or ACR as necessary.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
