About The Position

Planters Bank & Trust Company is seeking a CSR/Teller for their West Monroe Branch. This role involves promoting and maintaining positive customer relations, opening new accounts (Checking, Savings, CD’s, IRA’s), and cross-selling bank products. The position also provides general office support, answers incoming calls, and operates a Teller window providing prompt, efficient, and accurate customer service. The Teller aspect includes maintaining the security of a cash drawer, representing the Bank professionally, being alert to customer needs, cross-selling products, and referring customers to appropriate staff. All employees are expected to live core values, deliver quality service, possess a team-oriented attitude, maintain confidentiality, and develop a working knowledge of bank products.

Requirements

  • Resume Required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Basic Accounting knowledge.
  • 6 months of cash handling and balancing money transactions within prior four years.
  • Communication skills in dealing with customers and employees.
  • Satisfactory Credit Bureau and Background Check Report.

  • Bank experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and maintain positive relations with all customers and potential customers.

  • Operate a Teller window by providing prompt, efficient and accurate customer service.
  • Maintain security of a cash drawer.
  • Represent the Bank in a courteous, professional manner.
  • Be alert to customer needs.
  • Cross-sell bank products.
  • Refer customers to the appropriate staff.
