About The Position

Knife River is currently accepting applications for a Mechanic. This is a great opportunity, for the individual that enjoys learning and multi-tasking. We are seeking applicants for our shop and field services. The Mechanic is responsible for assisting with maintenance and repairs to construction equipment and crusher equipment. This is a full-time position that will require occasional overtime and weekend work.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Crusher Mechanic, we are willing to train the right person.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and diagnose problems with crushers and related equipment
• Repair and replace worn or broken parts as needed
• Perform preventative maintenance to ensure equipment is running efficiently
• Collaborate with other team members to complete projects and minimize downtime
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs
