About The Position
Northeast Asphalt is seeking a dependable, hands-on leader to oversee day-to-day operations at our portable aggregate sites. This is a leadership role within a family-centered company that values employee contributions. The position involves managing production, schedules, and daily operations, including operating and overseeing various types of equipment. The role also requires handling maintenance needs, enforcing safety practices, and communicating effectively with the crew, managers, and contractors. The job is located in Northern Wisconsin and involves working at portable aggregate sites throughout the region.
Requirements
- Solid experience in mining operations (foreman or lead role preferred).
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Willingness to join the union if not already a member.
- Comfortable with early mornings, outdoor work, and changing conditions.
- Strong work ethic and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead a crew to manage production, schedules, and daily operations.
- Operate and oversee crushers, screens, loaders, trucks, and mobile equipment.
- Handle maintenance needs, coordinate repairs, and keep equipment up to specification.
- Enforce safety practices and work site standards.
- Communicate clearly with crew, managers, and contractors.
- Assist with tasks such as welding, inspections, and cleanup as needed.
