About The Position

The Cruise Ship Coordinator is responsible for maintaining and growing Cruise Ship business, building and sustaining effective business relationships, while honoring Polynesian Adventure’s approach to business which includes our commitment to safety, operational excellence, customer service, innovation and sustainability.

Requirements

  • Customer service duties require relating to customers, employees and management in a friendly and professional manner at all times.
  • Ability to clearly and effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, employees, and the general public.
  • Duties require travel to outer islands as needed.
  • Position may require standing and walking.
  • Additional duties may occasionally require lifting objects that weigh up to 50 lbs.
  • Associate’s degree or higher, or equivalent work experience.
  • Two years of experience within the Hawaii visitor industry preferred.
  • Previous experience in the hospitality industry is preferred, but not required.
  • Must enjoy working with the traveling public.
  • Excellent customer service and guest relations skills are required in this role.
  • Must have strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills and able to consistently meet deadlines.
  • Working level ability in Google Workspace, MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High degree of listening skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of experience within the Hawaii visitor industry preferred.
  • Previous experience in the hospitality industry is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates all aspects of cruise tour programs with cruise line, vessel and operations team.
  • Maintains open communication with cruise ship shore excursion staff.
  • Monitors, inputs and follows up on cruise tour orders.
  • Coordinates with local venues in conjunction with tour itineraries.
  • Assists in creating new and innovative tour itineraries for cruise ship passengers.
  • Quality checks advance bookings; updates/completes any missing information.
  • Reconciles shore excursion settlement forms.
  • Approves and sends invoices for Cruise Ship clients in a timely manner.
  • Enters tour details and itineraries into dispatch software.
  • Adheres to the best practices and continual development of a key account management strategy.
  • Establishes and maintains client relationships with the mindset that our clients’ priority is our priority.
  • Uses independent judgment to operate tours effectively and resolve client complaints.
  • Conducts follow up reviews related to client satisfaction.
  • Liaises with Operations to ensure client needs are fulfilled.
  • Responsible for cruise related group quotes, including quoting and operating.
  • Provides onsite operations support, including travel as needed to outer islands.
  • Completes ad hoc projects as needed.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
