About The Position

Crown Prosecutors represent the Director of Public Prosecutions in providing an independent, efficient, fair and just prosecution service for the people of New South Wales. They provide high-level, independent professional representation and advice as Counsel representing the Director in criminal matters in all Criminal Courts. The positions could be based at various locations around the State, with the successful applicants required to attend regional courts as directed.

Requirements

  • Must be Australian lawyers.
  • Experience in conducting complex jury trials and/or appeals.

Responsibilities

  • Represent the Director of Public Prosecutions in providing an independent, efficient, fair and just prosecution service.
  • Provide high-level, independent professional representation and advice as Counsel representing the Director in criminal matters in all Criminal Courts.
  • Attend regional courts as directed.

Benefits

  • Conveyance Allowance of $17,955 per annum
