About The Position

Crow’s Bench is Schweitzer’s Premier restaurant. Centered around alpine cuisine, where we make our food from scratch. Commis Cook (Line Cook) is responsible for executing specific or multiple line stations & their prep during service hours. You will be responsible for food preparation, presentation and keeping a clean kitchen. If you have a passion for global cuisine and a love for learning, this is the job for you.

Requirements

Minimum education required - English reading and writing
Minimum time in a related position - Line Cook Experience Preferred
Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per shift.
Will lift up to 25lbs frequently, up to 50lbs occasionally.
Exposed to fumes, odors, mechanical and burn hazards.
All sensory skills needed.
Worksite is 100% inside and you will be exposed to fumes, odors, mechanical and burn hazards.
Non-Slip Shoes are Required

Nice To Haves

Idaho Food Safety Certification is preferred

Responsibilities

Prepare ingredients by chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces.
Ensures all prep is done according to recipes and portion standards.
Work in close liaison with chef/sous chef.
Cooks menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
Assembles dishes with attention to presentation and quality.
Maintains a clean and organized workstation.
Follows sanitation and safety procedures to ensure a hygienic kitchen environment.
Must be willing to work with both the Back of House and Front of House teams.
Wash dishes
Must become knowledgeable of Schweitzer Mountain Resort facilities & services
Other duties as assigned
