About The Position

This position serves to ensure the safety of students, faculty, staff, and citizens concerning vehicle traffic flow at Thomas Jefferson Elementary or Liberty High School. The role involves directing traffic to ensure the safe arrival and departure of students and citizens. Training will be provided.

Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Exhibit manual dexterity.
• Ability to hear and understand speech at normal levels.
• Ability to speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly.
• Physical agility to lift up to 50 pounds, to bend, stoop, climb stairs, walk and reach overhead.
• Duties are normally performed in or near parking lots, entry ways and exits to the school.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.

Nice To Haves

• High school graduate or equivalent is preferred.
• A valid Virginia driver's license with proper endorsements and a good driving record are preferred.
• Such alternative experience as the School Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Direct vehicle traffic and ensure the safe arrival and departure of all students and citizens.
• Perform such other duties and assume such other responsibilities as assigned by the Principal.
