About The Position

Harvard Protection Services is hiring a Crossing Guard Supervisor. The role is responsible for helping ensure the safe passage of students and pedestrians across designated streets and intersections before and after school. The position requires maintaining a visible presence, monitoring traffic and the surrounding environment, following safety procedures, and assisting students and motorists while remaining alert and attentive.

Employees are expected to maintain a professional demeanor, assist customers and other visitors, become familiar with incoming and outgoing traffic and the people using the assigned location, and learn and enforce facility policies and procedures within the limits of the position. Essential duties may vary by customer location.

Harvard Protection Services describes itself as an employee-centric security services provider guided by the values of people first, safety, teamwork, client focus, and accountability. The position pays $22.00 per hour and is scheduled Monday through Friday, 7:00–9:00 a.m. and 2:00–4:00 p.m.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Reliable means of communication and transportation.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Neat and professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Help ensure the safe passage of students and pedestrians across designated streets and intersections before and after school.
• Maintain a visible presence at the assigned location.
• Monitor traffic and the surrounding environment, identifying suspicious or unsafe activity.
• Assist students, motorists, customers, employees, visitors, and guests.
• Become familiar with incoming and outgoing traffic and with customers, tenants, visitors, and guests.
• Greet customers, visitors, staff, tenants, and guests professionally.
• Learn and enforce facility or building policies and procedures within the limits of the position.
• Remain alert and attentive and follow safety procedures.
