Cross-Border Midwest Short-Haul Class 1/AZ Driver
About The Position
Bison Transport is seeking a dedicated Class 1/AZ Driver for a cross-border, short-haul position. This role involves driving an average of 2,500 miles per week, with drivers typically on the road for 5 to 7 days at a time. The primary routes cover open-board Canada/U.S. in Ontario, Quebec, and the Midwest U.S. Drivers must be willing to operate in all Canadian Provinces and U.S. States, including the Northeast U.S. if required, and handle regional freight. Specific requirements include driving Highway 17 in Ontario year-round and the ability to pull refrigerated freight and haul all commodities, including meat and alcohol.
Requirements
- 24 months of tractor-trailer experience.
- U.S. qualified.
- Minimum of 6 months U.S. driving experience.
- Valid Class 1/AZ license.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more.
- Reliable, flexible, and punctual.
- Strong communication skills.
- Values safety.
- Registered with the Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.
Responsibilities
