About The Position

Taylor Metal Products is a leading manufacturer of high-end steel roofing and siding products with over 20 years of business and continuous growth. We are seeking an experienced CDL Class A Delivery Driver to join our fleet. Our Delivery Drivers are responsible for the expedient and safe delivery of company products, providing a positive customer service experience, and acting as the final window of quality control to ensure compliance with company standards and customer specifications.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of Class A driving experience
• Class-A CDL
• Able to lift 50 lbs. and climb on loads
• Typical start time at 5am
• Maintain E logs (occasionally paper logs)
• Occasional long hauls, 1-2 nights average
• Must pass a background check and drug screening for safety-sensitive positions.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload building materials on-site using forklift or boom
• Load and unload customers and vendors as part of will-call service
• Communicate and interact with customers, vendors and co-workers
• Maintain accurate log books and time records
• Document jobsite and other delivery information
• Ensure products are delivered in excellent condition
• Careful assessment of job-site hazards and limitations
• Maintain a clean vehicle, forklift and equipment
• Attend safety and other work-related training
• Follow all company policies, procedures and protocols
• General knowledge of our product line
